Believe it or not, winter is over, and it is officially spring! Now that spring is here, if you are planning a spring clean, don’t forget your floors. Here’s our spring cleaning advice for the floors that we sell:
Carpet
Before you start vacuuming, give your vacuum’s filter a clean – it can make all the difference. Give your carpet a good vacuum. If you have any spills or stains that need attention, try using a small amount of water first and blot rather than rub the stain. If harder cleaning solutions are needed, always make sure that you have the appropriate solution for your type of carpet and remember that stains are always easier to remove the sooner they are treated. Spring cleaning is always a good time to give your carpets a shampoo or get in a professional carpet cleaner to really bring your carpets back to life.
Vinyl and Karndean Flooring
Vinyl flooring and luxury vinyl floors such as Karndean are relatively easy to clean and maintain. Start by sweeping to remove and loose dirt and dust. We then suggest vacuuming to remove any dust or dirt your broom may have missed or that is lurking in any nooks and crannies. Once you’ve removed all the loose dirt it’s time to get out the mop! If you have a Karndean floor, we’d also recommend getting a Karndean Floor Care Kit to further enhance its look.
